The Real World: Wilmington

This is the true story … of four family members … who chose to move to the south … live together and have their lives blogged … to find out what happens … when people stop being polite … and start having babies … The Real World: Wilmington.

Our Little Sparklers July 23, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — Christine @ 2:57 am

We spent the weekend of the 4th avoiding the crowded beach, we’re such locals now, and celebrating with some good clean fun (still my fave!). We had some friends over to enjoy the massive water slide our neighbors gave us then Jamie made his now signature sliders for everyone.

We also got in lots of pool time, Elly has become quite the swimmer and Miles has become quite the splasher (he’s very skilled).

We went to our old neighbors’ annual 4th of July party. Elly had the best meal of her life; fried chicken with a side of cake. Miles enjoyed being passed around by all our former neighbors and other party guests. I always had a Mama eye on him, but it was nice getting a little time to chat with other adults. We had fun being in our old hood for the evening and seeing friends we hadn’t seen in a while.

Elly’s fear of fireworks is still kickin’ it, so on the night of the 4th, instead of attempting to see fireworks we built a fire in our backyard, roasted marshmallows, and lit some sparklers. Only thing that would have made the evening better was if we had also camped in the backyard. For some reason Jamie doesn’t think that sounds like very much fun. Doesn’t he know his ipad will still work out there?

This was one of my favorite weekends of the summer, thanks family!

This all looks like so, so much fun. Look how handsome & grown up Miles looks and Elly is always a doll!
