Eggcellent Easter April 26, 2011

We had a happy day filled with Easter traditions, family and fun!

Elly followed a trail of jelly beans to her basket. We had to yell “Otis!” about 800 times in order to keep him away from those beans! Miles had fun pulling everything out of his first Easter basket.

I’m glad we did some last minute egg coloring because Elly got a kick out of it. Of course the blue eggs were her favorite. The girl can’t get enough blue in her life!

Elly chose to sit with us in church, but requested to go to the nursery for the last 5 minutes of the service. When I told her she couldn’t go she had a mini meltdown, but it was nothing a few goldfish couldn’t fix.  Luckily there was some singing going on at that point.

Our trip to the arboretum was hot, but pretty. Elly was not feeling the photo shoot I was trying to implement. The nerve! Little Miles was happy to smile for the camera though.

While Miles was still napping Elly went on an egg hunt in the backyard then happily opened each one up to find out what the Easter Bunny had hidden inside.

Our little bunny enjoyed her first dip in the pool of the season.

Hope you all had a great Easter!
