Happy Birthday Jamie! September 3, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — Christine @ 8:26 pm

Jamie celebrated his birthday a couple days ago and we had a great time helping him. Elly and I met him for breakfast after he enjoyed a gnarly surf session in the morning and we went out for dinner that night to a place on the Intracoastal waterway.  In between our meal times together Jamie did some work and felt super popular as he received birthday greetings from his Facebook friends, Twitter followers, and loved ones all day.

Elly worked hard on a card for him and was so excited for Jamie to see it. She also baked him a cake in her play kitchen and helped him blow out the candles on that cake as well as his real one. Jamie requested a white cake with raspberry filling and white frosting. I was happy I didn’t need to make carrot cake like last year because that’s not at the top of my list when it comes to eating cake. I used this recipe, subbing almond extract for butter flavor, and made some buttercream frosting, it is yummy! The leftovers should tide baby brother and I over for a day or two.

Jamie, I hope you had fun on your special day and that all your birthday wishes come true this year!

  1. You know it’s a good day when you’re photographed wearing three different shirts.
