Christmas Eve ’09 January 3, 2010

On Christmas Eve we went to Papa and Grammy Chris’ house for dinner. I loved seeing Elly in her red dress.

I didn’t want her to get it messed up at dinner since we were headed to church later in the evening, which explains her look in the picture below. My brother referred to her as El Nacho Libre. She had a blast trying to jump on the bed with cousin Denver. Don’t worry Grandparents who are reading this, the mattress was on the floor.

We attempted to have Elly sit in church with us, that lasted less than five minutes. When she started throwing her snacks while simultaneously yelling we immediately headed for the nursery. We thought the service started at 7:30, but it was really at 7, at least we made it in time for the candlelight singing of Silent Night. So beautiful.

Elly insisted decorating some cookies to leave out for Santa then she enjoyed a vegan one of her own. We put her in her Christmas jammies and as she slept visions of sugar plums danced in her head.

  1. That Nacho Libre picture is the best. So is the one of her putting sprinkles on the cookies.
