New Year’s Eve January 1, 2010

I know I haven’t made a Christmas post yet, not to fret, it will come. I always feel very sentimental on New Year’s Eve. Pre Elly it was a holiday that usually called for a wild night out on the town. At the start of this decade we celebrated in New York City with friends, staying up into the wee hours of the morning. We will ring in the start of this new year by building a fire and making a special dinner while our 16 month old is asleep upstairs. Maybe we’ll be wild and crazy wake her for the countdown!

2009 was another good year for us. We spent it learning more about being good parents and marveling as we watched, taught, and supported our ever-changing daughter who turned 1 in August.  We spent the year settling further into Wilmington life by making stronger connections with people and enjoying everything the town has to offer, especially the beach. We spent time continuing our relationships with friends and family who we may not live near, but love dearly. Jamie and I celebrated our 4th year of marriage and I continue to feel so thankful to have him as a partner.

I look forward to starting a fresh year and can only hope it’s filled with lots of love, good health and happiness for all!
