The Real World: Wilmington

This is the true story … of four family members … who chose to move to the south … live together and have their lives blogged … to find out what happens … when people stop being polite … and start having babies … The Real World: Wilmington.

New Year’s Baby January 8, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Christine @ 10:46 pm

On New Year’s Eve Jamie and I went to dinner at Ruffinos, our favorite Italian place that we’ve been going to for years. It was a yummy and romantic meal!

We then rang in the New Year by watching Anderson Cooper (be still my heart) and Kathy Griffin (we found her comments about Ryan Seacrest to be hilarious) on CNN. Our days of partying till the clock strikes midnight and beyond are definitely on hold for a bit due to our new roles as Mommy and Daddy.

Elly was fast asleep in her room while we were watching the New Year’s countdown. Then at 11:58 we decided we wanted our baby girl to ring in 2009 with us. Jamie ran up the stairs, snagged the little one, then made it in time for the countdown. As the ball dropped Jamie and I smooched then Jamie went to give Elly a New Year’s kiss too. She told him what she thought about being woken up so late by letting out a spit up filled belch!

2008 was certainly an eventful year; we helped elect a Democrat who we highly respect into the White House, we moved to an adorable house in Wilmington, NC and we became parents to our gorgeous baby, Elly.   I wonder what adventures are in store for the 3 of us, and Otie too, in 2009…(my readers hope it’s lots more blogging that’s in store!)

If CNN hadn’t been having technical difficulties there’s no way this photo would have been passed up.
