Elly is so close to rolling over…I will spare you the 5 minute long video of Elly ALMOST rolling over and me gasping in the background each time I thought she was about to. Hopefully I will catch the real thing on film when it happens!
My brother, Stephen, and I NEVER got along growing up…it was no joke. People often asked us how we could possibly be related!
My level of respect for my brother changed when I saw him as a Dad. He now shows initiative, responsibility, and lots of love for others. Growing up, I never believed those who told me one day I’d be friends with my him, but they were actually right.
Thanks to David and Mom for also making the trip down. David, hopefully spending time with the little ones didn’t scare you too much…at least you have a while (2 years apparently) before you find your true love and start a family. Mom, I couldn’t have survived the week without you, thanks for helping me feel better when I was under the weather.
Thank you Graeme and Andrew for inviting us to your lakehouse! Adorable dogs, precious babies, delicious food, beautiful scenery and good friends, so nice.
Jamie rocked the Baby Bjorn for the first time. Could he be any hotter?
Christmas Photo Shoot November 13, 2008
I had grand plans of a beautiful and serene family photo on the beach to put on our Christmas cards this year. Attempt one, not quite a success. It took a lot of prodding to get Jamie to agree to the photo, especially the part that involved us wearing matching outfits, not sure I could convince him to try again so the pictures will just have to live on the blog and I’ll come up with something else for our Christmas cards. I know the suspense must be killing you.
blinding sunlight+fussy baby= bad pictures
Happy 3 Month Birthday! November 12, 2008
Elly Grace Mottram is 3 months old today, November 12th, time really does fly! She has changed so much…she now smiles, coos, and rolls on her side. She is also becoming more interested in toys, bright pictures in books and her swing. I feel beyond lucky to have a healthy happy baby girl to take care of!
Halloween has always been a fun holiday, especially as a kid. My Mom made me many costumes over the years; pumpkin, cheerleader, princess, and angel, to name a few. My Dad always took us trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. At the end of the night we’d get home, anxiously dump our bag of candy and begin sorting, counting, and eating our sweet treasures.
Now that I’m a Mom I am excited to experience holidays through the eyes of Elly. It will be great to start our own family traditions that she will hopefully remember fondly. We had a great time helping her celebrate her first Halloween with costumes, pumpking carving, trick or treaters, and a neighborhood tour.
